The Hill Country Council for the Arts (HCCArts), 10th Annual Art Waddle is set to kick off at the Tusculum Brewing Company with a Meet the Artists reception, Friday, May13th, from 4pm–7pm. Then, join us Saturday morning, May 14th, at 10am at the opening of the Waddle along the beautiful Cibolo Creek Trail. Here the fun will last throughout the day until 6pm. Visit the more than 30 Artist and Art Gallery booths, view and purchase some amazing original works of art, as well as the art of our 2022 featured artist, Katrina Gorman. Her one-of-a-kind fabric creations inspired the event poster and will be available for purchase.

The Boerne Art Waddle showcases events throughout the day, and includes a family/kids activity area. Grab a glass of craft beer or local wine, or a delectable morsel from one of our many vendors, and enjoy the live music that will be featured along the Trail. The family/kids activity area will feature a booth sponsored by the Cibolo Center for Conservation, and Board and Brush Creative Studio. Proceeds from the Art Waddle are donated to the Cibolo Center for Conservation for Summer Art Camp Scholarships.
Participating artists at this year’s Art Waddle include: HCCArts Art Partners, Cibolo Creek Quilters Guild; Angie Carney, mixed media; Linda Chalberg, watercolor; Chuck Cordes, sculpture; Jill Pankey, oil; Linda Manning, ceramics; and Sharon Whisnand, abstract acrylic.
Katrina Gorman, featured artist, was born in the Midwest, hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana. She began drawing at an early age to accompany her short stories. Katrina’s art can best be described as, “Stories told in fabric where a moment is captured alongside nature’s beauty.” Gorman is well-versed in multiple mediums, and creates original artworks for private collectors. Her artwork can be viewed at The Carriage House Gallery in Boerne, and at her website: www.katrinagormandesigns.com.
